Samesurf functions seamlessly on virtually every modern browser including Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari and Opera. For optimal results, we recommend using modern browsers while accessing the Samesurf suite of products.

Unlike Samesurf Co-Browsing which carries no installs, Samesurf screen sharing may require a one-time plug for leaders on certain browsers. Followers who are viewing screen sharing broadcasts never require installs.

Samesurf leverages cutting edge technology to enable install-free audio and video chat.

With regard to the ability for users to access the Samesurf feature sets, the following outlines a list of the possible issues that may cause a user not to be able to connect to our service:

(1) Inclusion of Root Domain within Firewall Software: For optimal results, IT should ensure to include the root domain "samesurf.com" within their list of allowed web domains in case they have firewalls that disallow traffic based on certain domains.

(2) Opening of Ports: IT should ensure that standard ports 80 and 443 are open.

(3) Proxy Server or Antivirus Software that is Very Old:

If the user is utilizing our service via a network that is using a Proxy Server with software that is very old and out of date (4 years or more) or they are using Antivirus Software that is very old and out of date (4 years or more), this circumstance could also interfere with the user's ability to utilize the service.

Online collaboration tools like Samesurf exhibit better performance on higher end broadband connections like cable, DSL & 4G wireless. Users with download speeds 8mbps or higher will enjoy more optimal experiences.

Screen sharing may expose the leader's entire screen and is likely to require greater utilization levels for bandwidth, GPU and CPU than Co-Browsing.

Samesurf co-browsing works seamlessly on mobile devices. However and if you answer a phone call during an active session, you may get disconnected from your session.

Samesurf enables authenticated sharing on sites that require logins such as Dropbox and SaaS Dashboards. Even though only the leader will be able to interact with these sites during sessions, you should only pass leader control within these sites or apps to people you trust and know well.
